Is there an Android version of Tractor GPS – Field Guidance?

Short answer

No. Tractor GPS – Field Guidance by Oran Dynamics runs only on iPhone and iPad, and we have no Android version in development. Any app on Google Play using a similar name is made by someone else.

Why iPhone and iPad only

We are a small team and the app is built natively for iOS. Doing one platform properly has mattered more to us than doing two badly: the guidance screen, the coverage map and the battery behaviour in the cab are all tuned for Apple hardware.

Apps on Google Play with a similar name

There is at least one Android app on Google Play using the name "Tractor GPS – Field Guidance". It is not made by Oran Dynamics, and we have no connection to it. Reviews, prices and features you see on that listing do not apply to our app, and our support team can't help with it.

Our app is published on the App Store by Oran Dynamics Ltd (Ireland). If the developer name on a listing is anything else, it isn't ours. See how to check you have the official app.

If you farm with an Android phone

You have three realistic options:

  1. Use an iPhone or iPad you already have. A spare or older iPhone works well as a dedicated cab device. It needs iOS 17 or later. A Wi-Fi-only iPad has no GPS chip of its own, but it can take its position from an iPhone running the app over GPS Relay (see setup).
  2. Use an Android guidance app. Several exist. We compare the main ones, including the Android-capable ones, on our comparison page, with prices and sources.
  3. Buy dedicated hardware. A light bar or an autosteer kit doesn't depend on your phone at all. Our guide to phone vs light bar vs autosteer vs RTK sets out the costs.

Will there ever be an Android version?

We don't announce plans we haven't committed to. If that changes, it will be on this page first.
